Sousse / El Jem / Djerba Island
This morning you will depart for El Jem to explore the best-preserved Roman Coliseum in the world. This Roman Coliseum was constructed between 230 AD and 238 AD. When you are ready, you will travel south to the island of Djerba where you will have dinner at the hotel and spend the night.
In the morning, you will visit the Star Wars film locations on Djerba Island. This includes seeing Chalmun’s Cantina and Obi-Wan Kenobi’s house in Ajim, as well as the Toshi Station in Sidi Jemour. In the afternoon, you will visit other historical and cultural attractions in Djerba Island including the famous pottery town of Guellela, El Ghriba Synagogue (oldest Synagogue in North Africa) and Houmt Souk. Djerba Island / Medenine / Ksar Ouled Soltane / Tataouine / Matmata
In the morning, you will leave Djerba Island by taking a Roman causeway and travel to Medenine. The ksar (ancient granary) here was used as one of the film locations of the Slave Quarters Row where Anakin and Shmi lived. Afterward, you will travel to Ksar Ouled Soltane, which is considered the best-preserved Ksar in southern Tunisia. You will then pass by the city of Tataouine, which you might recognize as the inspiration behind the name of the desert planet in Star Wars. As of March 2022, Ksar Hadada is closed indefinitely. It was used as part of the Slave Quarters in Episode I: The Phantom Menace and will return to this itinerary as soon as it re-opens for visitors. We will head for Matmata to have dinner and spend the night in a hotel. HOTEL OPTIONS: Choice guesthouse or hotel
Matmata / Douz / Chott El Jerid / Sidi Bouhlel / Tozeur
In the morning, you will visit Hotel Sidi Driss in Matmata, which was once a troglodyte dwelling but was used as the film location of the Lars Homestead interior. This film location was used in the original Star Wars film as well as Attack of the Clones. When you are ready, you will continue your journey across Chott El Jerid, which is Tunisia’s largest salt flats. We will arrive in Sidi Bouhlel, considered as ‘Star Wars canyon’ where 9 Star Wars scenes were filmed here. Take some time walking through this canyon to identify the Jawa rock where R2D2 was kidnapped, the Sandcrawler parking lot at the canyon entrance, the site where the Jawas were attacked and buried, and more. When you are ready, we will continue to the oasis city of Tozeur to have dinner and spend the night. HOTEL OPTIONS: Choice of 3 star, 4 star, 5 star or 5 star deluxe hotels
Tozeur / Nefta / Ong Jemel / Tozeur

Your next stop is to visit the Mos Espa film set located by the Sahara dunes in Chott el Gharsa. Located right beside the Mos Espa film set is the Yardangs, where the Queen’s Royal Starship landed as well as the famous lightsaber fight scene between Darth Maul and Qui-Gonn in Star Wars Episode I. Afterward, you will visit Ong Jemel which means ‘the neck of the camel’ in Arabic. This was the film location in Episode I where Darth Maul overlooks Tatooine, releases his Sith Probes and flies over the cliffs here.
